Works on Paper
The Bakersfield Museum of Art began as the Cunningham Memorial Art Gallery in 1956 with a donation from the Walter Osborn family who desired to establish an art gallery in memory of their daughter Marion Osborn Cunningham (1911-1948). The collection of serigraphs by Marion Osborn Cunningham initially shaped the Museum’s permanent collection. Today the Museum has over 80 works on paper by the late Marion Cunningham. Californian prints, drawings, and watercolors from the mid-19th century to the present are also included.
