Step-By-Step

2. Mix ingredients.png

1. In a large mixing bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of salt, and 1 cup of warm water.

3. Mix until Smooth.png

2. Mix the ingredients until you have a smooth liquid. Add water if the mixture is thick

This mixture is a quick-drying, non-toxic paint ideal for children. As long as the ingredients remain in the same ratio, the recipe can be made for more or less paint.

4. Distribute mixture.png

3. Divide the paint into containers. Make one container per color, we have used cups and spoons as mixing sticks.

You can also use plastic bags as containers, and cut the corner when it comes time to paint.

4. Put 2-3 drops of food coloring into your containers to make your colors. Mix primary colors, red, blue and yellow to create purple, green, and orange.

Paint a Landscape

On a thick paper, begin your painting. We began with the foreground, the sand of our tropical island. Objects in the foreground are the closest and most detailed objects in an image, and usually the lowest in an image.

8.2 Midground.png

The second part of the painting is the middle ground. Usually in the middle of an image, the middle ground usually includes the horizon. Objects in the middle ground are not very close to the viewer.

8.3 Background.png

The last part to paint is the background. The background of an image is the furthest of the viewer and generally includes the sky.

The last part of the painting, is adding finishing details. We added a palm tree.
